2Day FM tried to contact nurses before airing prank

CEO of Southern Cross Austereo, Rhys Holleran, has appeared on Neil Mitchell's 3AW program.

While Holleran stayed on message, repeating numerous times "this is a tragic event that could not have been reasonably foreseen", he did reveal that 2Day FM tried to contact the nurses on "no less than 5 occasions" to discuss what was recorded before airing the prank call.
