7HO FM leads the way in Hobart: Xtra Insights Survey 1

It’s been dominant showing for ARN’s 7HOFM in today’s Xtra Insights Survey 1 for Hobart.

Whilst the station was down 1.0 overall in 10+, 7HO FM’s Sarah, Mick and Johnno remain #1 in Breakfast (+0.2 to 21.3), with Hit in second (-0.2 to 18.5), followed by ABC Radio Hobart (-4.5 to 14.9), which holds down third.

Triple M Hobart went up 0.9 in 10+ to 11.6 as the station listened to most.

7HOFM General Manager Greg Scealy says “This outstanding result is a testament to the amazing relationship 7HOFM has with the people of Hobart. I’m so proud of our entire team for their hard work, creativity and most of all, their passion for this city. An 18.4% increase in our 10+ audience is out of this world!”

7HOFM Content Director Allan Cameron says “A great result again for 7HOFM team! I couldn’t be prouder and happier with Sarah, Mick and Johnno, Hobart’s Number 1 Breakfast show and Beau and El attracting more listeners across the workday. It’s a true team effort both on and off air.”

In congratulating the SCA Hobart team, SCA Head of Regional Content, Blair Woodcock said the survey results delivered audience growth for both Hit100.9 and Triple M Hobart:

“Triple M kicked off 2024 with a brand-new Breakfast show Kaz & Tubes and only six months later this show has increased its audience by 51.1%. What an outstanding way to launch a new show! Over on Hit100.9, the station increased its audience by more than 31%, with huge cume lifts in every daypart.

“Together, these stations now reach 133,700 Hobart locals, a testament to the amazing content being created. Congrats again to our entire Hobart team.”

ABC Radio Hobart is claiming the mantle as the #1 station for people 40+

The station says it also achieved its highest cumulative reach since 2016.

“Audiences choose to start their day with ABC Radio Hobart’s Breakfast with Ryk Goddard, the number one Breakfast program for audiences 40+. Weekends and Evenings on ABC Radio Hobart were also number 1 with audiences 40+ this survey and Leon Compton in Mornings was 2nd in his slot for 40+ audiences.”

ABC Radio Hobart Manager Samantha Stayner said “Every day, we’re covering issues that matter to people right across Hobart and it’s fantastic to be growing our audience.”
