X Digital to air Katy Perry album in full

Staff Writer

Back in January the Capital Radio Network launched a new digital station in Perth called X Digital.

This Saturday night from 6 o'clock the station will broadcast Katy Perry's new album 'Prism' in full, including 4 bonus tracks.

X Digital CD Scotty McLaren says, "it's great that we can provide the listeners of Perth an inside look into Katy's new album which is expected to shoot to the top of all of the charts around the globe."

"We will be playing every single song from Katy's deluxe album which was released on iTunes this morning and we'll even have little bits and pieces from Katy herself explaining the album, her love life with John Mayer, and what it's like to be Smurfette".

X Digital will also encourage listeners to tell them what they think of the album via Twitter and Facebook on the night.

"The idea behind playing the album in full comes from the days of rushing into the record store many of years ago to listen to your favourite band or artists album in full," says McLaren. "They used to do these listener parties where you got to hear the album and talk to other fans about what you thought of it…This is a truly unique experience in the 21st century and I'm looking forward to the feedback."
