92.9 reveal new breakfast show

Staff Writer

In the past 2 weeks, two-thirds of the 92.9 breakfast show in Perth, Lisa Fernandez (here) and Paul Hogan (here), announced their departures.

The station have today revealed their new breakfast show as Will, Woody and Heidi Anderson from NXFM (and Big Brother).

The new show will start November 11 and will be on-air for the last 3 weeks of the survey year, allowing them time to get warmed up before 2014 begins.

SCA Head of Content Craig Bruce said, “In Perth’s under 40 breakfast battle, we’ve drawn a line in the sand – the new or the old. Congratulations to Heidi, Will & Woody and the many CD’s who have played a role in their development along the SCA talent pipeline. Giving a young team their first big breakfast break is one of the best parts of what we do.”

Heidi said, “I’m so pumped to be heading back west. They say west is best and you know what… I think it might be! I’m coming back after only a short stint on the east side – it’s only been seven months and I’m back here! I just can’t get enough of the beaches, the people, the WA lifestyle, the beer and my Perth-born Prince Charming, James!”

Will and Woody said, “We’re incredibly excited about our first big breakfast radio job and coming West. We’ve heard the Sunday Sessions are epic but we will need a lot of help from 92.9 listeners on stuff like where the best beaches, the best pubs are and where we should live”

Basil Zempilas will remain part of the show as their sports presenter.

The audio also reveals that ex-Sea FM Sunshine Coast breakfast host Sophie Tiller (pic below), who filled in for Heidi when she was on Big Brother, will be the new co-host of NXFM breakfast with Heath and Normy.
