Sarah Wilson launches Wild podcast via PodcastOne

Staff Writer

Author of I Quit Sugar, Sarah Wilson, has a new podcast with Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) PodcastOne Australia.

Wild With Sarah Wilson will feature intimate conversations with people Wilson has met during her attempt to “reconnect with life again”.

Wilson hiked the world and spent eight years living our of one bag, and now wants to help listeners “wake up to what matters”.

It will feature conversations with the likes of singer-songwriter Sia, meditation coach Tim Brown, and recently retired rugby league player and activist, David Pocock.

International guests include American author and marketing guru, Seth Godin, Dutch historian and best-selling author Rutger Bregman, and American climate psychologist, Margaret Klein Salamon.

SCA’s head of entertainment and news content across digital audio, Sam Cavanagh, said: “Sarah is one of Australia’s most unique and outspoken talents. From sugar, to anxiety, and the climate crisis, she is drawn to tackling the difficult issues. This podcast format gives her an opportunity to explore ideas in a way her audience has never heard before.”

Wilson said despite her varied career across TV, magazines, radio, newspapers, digital and book publishing, the podcast has taken her “to the truest and most expansive place in my career”.

“I am driven to continue a journey I started ten years ago, to take leaps into the unknown so that I can best connect with this one wild and precious life I get to have on this planet. When we connect deeply with something, we can best fight to save it,” she said.

The podcast launches on Wednesday, January 27.
