A new partnership between Australia’s Whooshkaa and global streaming service Deezer will now see content by local podcasts distributed more widely than ever before.

Now the over 8,000 podcasters who use Whooshkaa as a host will see their audio distributed to Deezer’s 14 million active users across 180 countries.

The partnership cements Whooshkaa’s place as a leader in digital audio technology, delivering best-in-class software used by podcasters, radio networks, publishers and broadcasters.

“Deezer is the music streaming and podcast platform of choice for millions of European listeners,” said Whooshkaa founder and CEO Robert Lowenthal.

“Australian creators are producing some of the World’s best podcasts and this integration represents another opportunity for that content to be discovered by global audiences.”

Launched in 2007, the France-based Deezer now has headquarters in Berline, London, Moscow, Miami, São Paulo and more.

Whooshkaa hosted podcasts will now appear in the ‘Shows’ tab on Deezer, as well as making up a part of personalised recommendations for users based on listening history and preferences.

“We’ve seen first-hand how podcasts complement the overall music experience,’ said Deezer’s VP content and productions Frédéric Antelme.

“Over the last few years, we’ve grown our podcast library to make sure fans can enjoy something new every day.

“Partnering with Whooshkaa means that even more podcasters can grow their audience, while listeners regularly get fresh content to suit their tastes.”

Deezer is also the only music streaming service with Flow, the unique mix of all your old favourites and new recommendations in one ever-changing stream, and is available on all devices including smartphone, tablet, PC, laptop, home sound system, connected car or smart TV.
