Triple M to pay Boof’s ICC fine

Staff Writer

When Darren 'Boof' Lehmann joined The Grill Team on Triple M Sydney earlier this week, he made some comments about English cricketer Stuart Broad that the ICC determined to have breached their code of conduct, so they've fined him 20% of his match payment, said to be $3,000.

Triple M wasn’t prepared to let Boof take all the blame for something that happened on their station, so have announced that the Grill Team and the Hot Breakfast would pay the fine on his behalf.

Gus Worland said, "Triple M will be paying the fine Darren Lehmann has been thrown on him by the ICC, whatever that fine is Triple M as a company and as a radio station will be paying that fine on behalf of Boof.

"We were having a bit of a joke, and we complain all the time about people coming on here and not telling us the truth and coming up with clichés… well he told us the truth, and he got in trouble, and now we’ll pay the fine."

This is where it all started, when Boof made those comments about Broad :-
