Triple M crowns winner of The Footy Voice competition
Randwick local Alby Talarico will join the Triple M commentary team on NRL Grand Final day after being judged the winner of The Footy Voice competition.
Over the last few weeks, fanatics of the game have been sending in their best efforts at rugby league commentary. A panel of judges then selected 12 finalists, eliminating game callers over the last couple of weeks, leaving only two finalists.
Talarico was eventually named the winner during yesterday’s NRL Sunday show with Paul Kent, Anthony Marron and Ryan Girdler.
Talarico will join former NRL player-turned-commentator Jamie Soward on Sunday to call the Holden Cup Grand Final clash between Parramatta Eels and Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.
