Triple M officially launches on 93.1FM Bundaberg

Former Assistant Editor

Bundaberg’s 93.1 SEA FM has officially rebranded to Triple M, with the launch party going down last Friday before Nik and Jac hosted the inaugural Triple M Bundy Breakfast show on Monday.

Nik and Jac have been retained for the SCA station’s local Breakfast show, and just before the official rebrand went live they shared a video promising better music, NRL, comedy, special events and more for the future on Triple M Bundy.

The launch weekend kicked off on Friday night, hosted by Nik and Jac, where Northern neighbours Busby Marou were on hand for an exclusive performance.

Triple M NRL pundit and fellow Queenslander Wendell Sailor was also in attendance.

Friday night was a huge success,”  said SCA Bundaberg general manager Nicholas Purdie.

“It was great to see everyone have such a good time. Wendell Sailor was hilarious and Busby Marou are an extremely talented duo. This was just the start of Bundy’s Triple M with plenty more on the horizon.”

Then, on Monday morning, Nik and Jak played a package with news highlights from the 18-year history of 93.1 SEA FM, as part of the official moment of launch for Triple M Bundy.

The package highlighted the new Triple M music strategy for the station, as well as teasing forthcoming competitions and prizes

Triple M Bundy will bring Australia’s second biggest radio network to Bundaberg, taking the number of Triple M stations across Australian metro and regional networks to 35.

The rebrand to Triple M Bundy will see Triple M’s new national Drive show Kennedy Molloy broadcast, as well as Triple M Footy, and a range of other national and international promotions and competitions.
