Top 30 FM stars of all time (20-11)
Following my article a few weeks ago on how 'great talent matters' I decided to put my list together of the Top 30 FM Radio Stars since the start of commercial FM radio in 1980.
Over the past 3 decades in Australia there’s been some great world standard talent, and we began the countdown on monday with numbers 30-21 here, and today we move into the next group.
Most are still powering on radio, some in TV, film and other media. Some we have never heard from again ! It includes individuals and teams who consistently deliver great radio content, have had longevity on the air , achieve high ratings and are unique and innovative . I have also taken into account market size , shift , format and national coverage.
So let's continue the countdown, here are numbers 20 to 11:
20 | Marty Sheargold | |
19 | Jono and Dano | |
18 | James Brayshaw | |
17 | Mick Molloy | |
16 | Peter Moon | |
15 | The D Generation | |
14 | Eddie McGuire | |
13 | Merrick and Rosso | |
12 | The Grill Team (Triple M Melbourne) | |
11 | Richard Stubbs |
If you have anyone you think should be included let us know, and feel free to send your alternate top 30 if you like. And on Friday I will list the Top 10 in my list of the commercial FM greats!
Coming soon on Radio Today I’ll list the most promising newcomers on FM radio today.
