Tony McManus locked in for 3AW overnights

Tony McManus has finalised the 3AW lineup for 2024 becoming the new overnights host. He moves from 6PR and will have to think about changing his X (formerly Twitter) handle from @TMACPERTH.

McManus replaces Tony Moclair who has already moved to 3AW afternoons. Late night listeners will won’t even need to adjust to a new first name.

After Neil Mitchell retires from Mornings at the end of this year Tom Elliott will take over Mornings and Jacqui Felgate will replace Elliott as Drive host.

Bringing McManus over now is an interesting move from 3AW who, despite remaining the top station in Melbourne, saw drops in every day part and weekends in GfK Survey 7 last week. Survey 6 had been particularly dominant but more than 3 point drops in breakfast, mornings and -5.1 for evenings with Denis Walter, may have led management to want McManus to settle in now rather than wait.
