Tones and I wows fans in Nova’s Red Room

Global phenomenon Tones and I was front and centre for the latest Nova Red Room show, held at Howler in Melbourne’s Brunswick last night.

Lucky fans were treated to a stunning acoustic set of tracks from her new album, interspersed with some chart-topping favourites.

Tones and I started the show with her hit song Cloudy Day, then went onto explain how the new album Beautifully Ordinary was created.

“Being on the Pink tour, people saw me for more than just one song. So I wrote this vulnerable album.”

She then launched into an incredible acoustic version of Figure it Out, a song from her new album. Crowd favourite Never Seen the Rain was next, followed by a moving performance of Sorrento, a song from the new album and one of Tones and I’s own favourites – as well as Chris Hemsworth’s!

Tones and I said “Chris Hemsworth (loves the song) and slid into my DMs to tell me. This song is about my Papa and his life story.”

Tones and I finished the show with sentimental favourite and worldwide hit Flyaway, which had the whole room singing along in unison.

Other guests included Nova Late Drive hosts Ben Harvey, Liam Stapleton and Belle Jackson (pictured above) and Nova commercial clients and partners, along with music industry and NOVA executives.
