Ticker News launches New York studio

Reporter

It’s a milestone week for former 3AW journalist and Ticker News founder Ahron Young.

Ticker News has just launched a new studio in New York, as it continues its programming expansion into the United States.

Ahron tells Radio Today it’s an exciting development for the news station he and the Ticker team built from the ground up.

Veronica Dudo has been Ticker’s US correspondent for two years and is now stepping up to host her own daily show, In America Today.”

“The show focuses on the major news stories of the day in the US, and she interviews newsmakers and experts about the big issues.”

Veronica previously worked for US broadcasting heavyweights NBC and CBS.

Ticker is an Australian news platform with content focusing on business, tech, start ups, entrepreneurs, media and travel.

Since it began in 2019, it has been a pioneer of next-gen production and streaming technology.

Ahron – who grew up on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula – has previously described his own foray into the media has having been ‘all over the place.’

After work experience at a newspaper as well as local radio and TV, he started out in Breakfast radio, but would later set up a business, producing his own radio news bulletins for local radio stations around Victoria.

Ahron says the call then came from 3AW, inviting him to join the news team.

Later, with years of industry experience under his belt, Ahron decided the time was right to launch his own news service and broadcast channel in Australia.

Today, Ticker continues to go from strength to strength.
