The Last Man Standing

Brisbane’s 4BC has lost another local shift permanently with Macquarie Media Group slotting 2GB’s Chris Smith Afternoon program into the schedule.

Last year Claire Blake’s contract was not renewed for her afternoon show, since then the station has had Kim Mothershaw filling in.

That leaves only Ben Davis and his Drive show as the last local Brisbane man standing.

How long will the local Drive show last? MMG Brisbane Operations Director Liz Illidge may have given the Brisbane Times a clue saying: “Like anything in media it all depends on ratings”.
