The network bosses talk Survey 1 in Sydney

With the results from Survey 1 to be released in just over 24 hours, The Australian have spoken to all 3 FM network programming bosses as well as Radio Today's Brad March and Dan Bradley about the first result of 2014, with their main focus on Sydney :-

Craig Bruce SCA	“We’ll (2Day) go down on Tuesday. The results are going to be about the detail though.” “Our battle is absolutely with Nova, it’s not with KIIS.” Talking about Jules, Merrick & Sophie with Mel B: “(the show was) scratchy in week one, we’ll be honest, but I think it’s improved exponentially and found a good consistent rhythm. Our research says we’re in a reasonably good position for a new show."
Duncan Campbell ARN	“Tuesday is about getting a read on the markets around Australia and in particular how audiences have moved in both Sydney and Melbourne given the amount of change that has occurred."
Paul Jackson Nova Entertainment	He said the mass of changes “will bring a fair amount of confusion for the listener in the early days. There’s a good chance as well as through smooth improving that the Mix change will absolutely bring some churn.”
Dan Bradley Kaizen Media / Radio Today	“In Sydney, I’d be surprised if KIIS is not the leading FM station at breakfast. The Kyle & Jackie O show sounds the same as it always has, and it works. It will obviously be an ordinary result for 2Day, but not unexpected from their perspective.”
Brad March Former Austereo CEO / Radio Today	"(If Kyle & Jackie O) doesn’t make No 1 in this book I think they will in the next couple of surveys”. He also added: “there will possibly be an effect on ratings for smoothfm from disenfranchised Mix listeners (switching from KIIS).”
