The Music Network Chart Wrap: July 27

Hot 100

The Weeknd holds #1 for a third week with Can’t Feel My Face while no movement occurs in the Top 10 till #5. Lost Frequencies take #5 from #10 on its fifth week in the chart while DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge’s You Know You Like It breaks into the Top 10 at #6 from #13. Ed Sheeran’s Photograph moves back into the Top 10 at #8 from #12 while Fifth Harmony’sWorth It featuring Kid Ink makes it to #10 from #14.

There is very little major movement in the Hot 100 this week, the main movers worth noting are Pia Mia’s Do It Again featuring Chris Brown & Tyga and Aston Merrygold’s Get Stupid, which is up at #16 from #22. Most moved this week is Peking Duk’s Say My Namefeaturing Benjamin Joseph, which moves from #57 tp #31.

Five new debuts make their way into the Top 50, the first is Calvin Harris’ How Deep Is Your Love which enters at #30, at #40 is 5 Seconds Of Summer’s She’s Kinda Hot. Debuting at #43 and #45 is Sam Feldt’s Show Me Your Love featuring Kimberly Anne and Nathan Syke’sKiss Me Quick, respectively. The last new entry comes at #50 with U2’s Song For Someone.

ARIA Singles

The ARIA Singles chart finds a new #1 this week with Lost Frequencies’ Are You With Memoving up from #3. It finally reaches the top in Australia after reaching #1 in other countries including the UK and Sweden. Two high debuts make their way into the Top 10, the first at #6 is 5 Seconds Of Summer’s She’s Kinda Hot and Calvin Harris’ How Deep Is Your Love featuring The Disciples at #8. Pia Mia’s Do It Again featuring Chris Brown & Tyga moves up to #10 from #22 while Aston Merrygold’s Get Stupid sees strong movement to #28 from #50. Samantha Jade sees a strong debut at #32 with Shake That featuring Pitbull, while Pharrell Williams’ Freedom debuts at #47 and Fetty Wap’s Trap Queen debuts at #49.

ARIA Albums

Tame Impala debuts at #1 this week with third studio album Currents, marking their first #1 on the ARIA Albums chart; their previous highpoints being #4 with both Lonerism andInnerspeaker. It becomes the fifth Australian #1 in 2015. The next highest debut enters at #5 with The Chemical Brothers’ Born In The Echoes, becoming their sixth Top 10 album on the ARIA Albums chart. Josh Groban’s Stages sees a huge leap to #7 from #42 as a result of his recent Australian promo tour. MS MR’s see a debut at #12 and are no doubt riding off the hype behind their appearance in Australia for Splendour In The Grass.
