The Music Network Chart Wrap: April 23

Hot 100
It’s now six weeks at #1 for Lukas Graham’s 7 Years, leading ahead of a stagnant Top 5. Fifth Harmony and Selena Gomez remain at #2 and #3 with Work From Home ft. Ty Dolla $ign and Hands To Myself respectively.

Mike Posner is the first to shake things up at #5 up from #6 with I Took A Pill In Ibiza. Gnash makes for the only new Top 10 entry at #8 from #17 with I Hate U I Love U ft. Olivia O’Brien. 

Just outside the bracket is The Chainsmokers’ certified hit Don’t Let Me Down ft. Daya which lands at #11 from #18. Little Mix’s Secret Love Song ft. Jason Derulo hits #19 from #38. Broods’ Free makes a big jump to #22 from #50 on its second week in the chart while Luke Christopher makes the biggest move, hitting #27 from #64 with Lot To Learn seeing huge success at commercial radio.

Jason Derulo takes the first new debut at #29 with If It Ain’t Love, with the next coming in at #47 in the shape of Luvbug’s Best Is Yet To Come. Drake’s One Dance ft. Wiz Kid & Kyla enters at #57 with Nick Jonas’ new single Close ft. Tove Lo not far behind debuting at #64.

ARIA Singles
Hitting #1 up from #5 this week is Gnash’s I Hate U, I Love U ft. Olivia O’Brien which overthrows Lukas Graham’s 7 Years after eight weeks at the top. Alan Walker’s Faded remains at #2 for another week while The Chainsmokers’ Don’t Let Me Down ft. Daya hits #3 up from #7.

Twenty One Pilots’ Stressed Out returns to #10 from #12 while slightly further down is Drake’s new single One Dance ft. Wiz Kid & Kyla, hitting #15 from #43 on its second week in the chart. Just below them is Tinie Tempah’s slow burner Girls Like ft. Zara Larsson, which is up at #17 from #28.

ARIA Albums
Deftones take their first ever #1 in Australia this week as Gore scores the top debut on the ARIA Albums chart. At the #2 debut is The Lumineers’ Cleopatra, their second Top 10 album and highest charting album to date.

Ed Sheeran makes a return to the Top 10 at #6 up from #10 with diamond selling album X.It’s followed by Matt Corby’s Telluric at #9 from #14. 

The next debut is at #11 from Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals’ Call It What It Is followed by M83’s Junk debuting at #12. Michael Jackson’s Essential Michael Jackson moves up to #17 from #27 while Fleetwood Mac’s The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac makes a huge jump to #19 from #48.
