The Music Network Chart Wrap: September 9

Hot 100

Topping the TMN Hot 100 and taking his first ever #1 on the chart is Vance Joy with Fire And The Flood, which makes the jump from #8. Pia Mia enjoys a new peak at #3 from #4 with Do It Again featuring Chris Brown & Tyga. Making a huge jump into the Top 10 is Nelly’s The Fix featuring Jeremih, which has landed at #9 from #41. R. City make it into the Top 10 at #10 up from #13, also marking a new peak for the track.

Outside the Top 10 Jess Glynne draws closer to the top bracket at #12 up from #23 with Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself, as does Felix Jaehn’s Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better) which lands just behind at #14 from #37. The Rubens continue their rise up commercial radio with Hoops taking a new peak this week at #35 from #54. As does The Weeknd’s The Hills at #41 from #81. Taking most moved this week is Meg Mac’s Never Be, which following huge adoption at commercial radio, has moved from #92 from #44, a total of 48 positions.

Two new debuts and a high re-entry come in the Top 50 this week. At #25 and #26 are new entries from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ Downtown and Justin Bieber’s Do What You Want respectively. Re-enering at #48 is Drapht’s Dancin’ John Doe which saw a big spike in airplay this week pushing it back in the chart.

ARIA Singles

Justin Bieber tops the ARIA Singles chart this week with his brand new single What Do You Mean earning the #1 debut. Moving up at #2 from #5 is R. City’s Locked Away featuring Adam Levine taking a new peak; as does Nelly’s The Fix featuring Jeremih, which is now at #3 from #10. Marking the only new entry in the Top 10 is Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ Downtown which debuts at #9. Felix Jaehn’s Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better) continues to progress up the chart at #12 from #21. The Weeknd might have a new track in the Top 20 soon as The Hillscontinues to progress, landing at #27 this week from #41. Ellie Drennan’s Ghost marks the last debut in the Top 30 this week with a #25 debut.

ARIA Albums

The Albums chart has three new debuts at the top of the chart this week. Taking #1 is The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind The Madness. The Canadian artist’s first #1 on the ARIA Charts beats previous peak Kiss Land, which peaked at #30 in 2013. Debuting at #2 is Halsey’s debut album Badlands setting a nice precedence for future albums. Taking #3 is Foals with the debut of What Went Down, the follow up to #1 charting album Holy Fire.  The next debut comes in at #8 with The Paper Kites’ Twelvefour; it marks their first ever Top 10 album on the ARIA chart. Blood To Bone by Gin Wigmore finds a debut at #13 while Last Dinosaurs’ Wellness debuts at #18.
