The Hit Network’s Christie Hayes heads off on maternity leave after four-year IVF journey

This morning on The Hit Network’s Dan & Christie, co-host Christie Hayes officially wrapped up her final show before heading off on maternity leave.
The former Home and Away star, who has been open about her IVF journey and previous loss, is now preparing to welcome her ‘rainbow baby’ with husband Justin Coombes-Pearce.
It’s been a huge year for Dan & Christie. The pair not only claimed the mantle as Hobart’s #1 Breakfast show in the latest GfK radio survey (and tied in the baby announcement!) but were also recently internally anointed SCA’s provincial ‘Show of the Quarter.’
Now, it’s time for ‘Dan & Christie’s Matt Leave’ as Producer Matt Reynolds steps in to join Dan Taylor on-air while Christie is away.
Earlier this year, Christie thanked listeners for their continued support and said it was their unwavering hope that has helped carry her through.
“Where there is hope, there is life,” Christie said at the time.

Dan & Christie are only heard in Hobart, and regional Vic + Albury. SCA don’t own any stations in regional Tas.
