Gold 104.3’s The Christian O’Connell Show is in celebration mode.

This morning, Christian, Jack Post, Patrina Jones and the team marked their 1000th show.

While the Christian O’Connell Show officially marked its 1000th show today live on-air, last Friday the team hosted a special event to celebrate: The Christian O’Connell Show, LIVE on Stage.

The live show was performed to an intimate crowd of listeners and included everything that Melburnians love about the show.

All proceeds from the event were donated to Backpacks 4 VIC Kids, a Victorian charity providing essential material aid to displaced children. The show sold out and a total of $32,384 was raised from ticket sales to help local children in crisis.

On reaching the milestone for the show, host Christian O’Connell said, “I never would’ve made it to 1000 shows without the people of Melbourne opening their hearts to what Patsy, Jack and I put out with the show.”

“Over one thousand shows, I’ve been humbled by their generosity to others; crying with laughter from their amazing stories and astonished by their compassion & kindness.”

“It’s an immense privilege to be of service to them through the show each morning, and on the day of the 1000th show and every day to come, I wanted to say thank you.”

Adding to the celebrations is a swag of ACRA finalist nominations – including Best On Air Team.

Christian is also up for Individual Talent of the Year and Patrina Jones is a finalist for Best FM New Presenter and the Excellence in Journalism award.

Launching on ARN in June 2018, The Christian O’Connell Show has continued to go from strength to strength and has recorded many highlights including the recent Win A Billboard promotion, the Wall of Dogs, Nans and Heroes, discussions on important topics including mental health, menopause and post-natal depression, raising funds for a number important causes, interviews with the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Grohl and Matthew McConaughey and of course, the conversation between the team that the show is known and loved for.
