Christie Hayes & Justin Coombes-Pearce launch Talk Thirty To Me podcast

Australian media personalities Christie Hayes and Justin Coombes-Pearce have launched a new weekly podcast, Talk Thirty To Me.

Distributed, hosted and monetised by the Acast Creator Network, Talk Thirty To Me will see Hayes and husband Coombes-Pearce take a closer look at turning 30 and what to expect next.

Each episode will see the husband-wife duo joined by a range of guests to discuss the experiences and mistakes they encountered throughout their 20s, with upcoming guests including Georgia Love, Tammin Sursok, Lola Berry, James Mathieson, Madeleine West, and Rebekah Elmaloglou.

Hayes said that she and Coombes-Pearce produced Talk Thirty To Me to facilitate reassuring conversations among listeners approaching the big milestone moment.

Turning 30 is a big life milestone and can often come with a lot of noise about what you’ve done and where you’re heading,” Hayes said.

“We wanted to create Talk Thirty To Me to have open conversations about what we’ve learned along the way and hopefully our listeners can either relate, find reassurance, or learn something from our experiences. We’ll laugh, cry and learn as we talk about why life really does begin at 30.”

Acast’s content development manager for Australia and New Zealand, Jordon Lott, noted that Hayes and Coombes-Pearce’s prior experience within the audio sector would prove instrumental in helping Talk Thirty To Me resonate with millennial audiences.

Talk Thirty To Me speaks to millennials in such a relatable way, it’s quickly going to become everyone’s go-to podcast for advice, laughter and connection,” Lott said.

“While 30 can seem like a scary number, Christie and Justin are providing light at the end of the tunnel for younger millennials like myself — and podcasting is the perfect medium for these conversations, because you just can’t beat the level of engagement it provides.

“Christie and Justin both have plenty of experience in the audio space, and we’re looking forward to making this partnership a success.”

Hayes is a former Home & Away star who also spent time on i98FM’s Breakfast show Marty, Christie & Crammy. She won the Best Newcomer On-Air at the 2018 Commercial Radio Awards.
