Szubanski: ‘Kyle casting smart’

The new pantomine production of Snow White , called Snow White: Winter Family Musical, opens tonight in Sydney at the State Theatre.

As as been widely reported, KIIS FM Breakfast Announcer Kyle Sandilands has been cast as the Wicked Queen's disgruntled mirror in the pantomine, whilst singer Cliff Richard has been cast as the Wicked Queen's good side.

Both roles have been pre-recorded. Magda Szubanski will play the role of the Wicked Queen, and she has come out in support of the casting of Sandilands. Speaking on the Red Carpet, she commented:

"They got him because he’s the bad boy. I think it’s a clever move. I have no problem with it. I think it’s smart casting,” 

Sandilands famously said on his 2Day FM show that Szubanksi would have lost weight in a concentration camp, for which he was widely condemned.
