Steve Mummery returns to SCA 

After 12 years, Steve Mummery is returning to SCA, joining the Perth content team as the Content Strategy Manager.

Mummery will work closely with SCA’s content directors, providing advice and guidance on their program and digital strategies. He will also coach on-air talent and off-air teams.

Having spent more than a decade with SCA as a Content Director, Mummery brings a wealth of broadcast knowledge and experience. He led a number of successful teams, including Perth’s Mix 94.5, achieving Perth’s #1 radio station for a record-breaking 80+ consecutive surveys.  

Mummery has held a number of leadership roles in large organisations, including heading up the Channel 7 Telethon Trust with his team raising an incredible $180 million during his nine years as CEO. Mummery also leads a successful celebrant business where he has hitched more than 700 couples over the past five years.

“Radio is in my blood, and I’m excited to be back doing what I absolutely love. The Perth market is full of talented individuals and I am looking forward to working with them to be passionate about creating great content,” Mummery said.

Mummery’s appointment is effective immediately.

Oh wow – is this the same Steve Mummery that hosted Mummery in the Mornings on 3TR during my childhood?!? There’s a name I haven’t heard in a very long time!

I remember listening to Steve way back in the 80s on 3TR, basically about the only radio station covering the more desolate regions of eastern Victoria. Good old AM radio. Maybe I remember it all through rose glasses, but he was pretty funny, gave us country kids a small taste of city life. Glad to see he went on to bigger things 🙂
