Sophie Monk’s back On-Air for a Summer Fling

ARN have laid out their summer plans with Sophie Monk & Matty Acton teaming up for The Summer Fling across KIIS Sydney and Melbourne.

Kicking off in December, the Summer Fling breakfast show with see Sophie and Matty joined by gossip guy Richard Reid, The Bachelor’s Heather Maltman covering movies and entertainment and news.com.au journo James Weir with the latest local news, gossip and views.

“I’m super excited to be waking up Sydney and Melbourne with Matty for summer on KIIS.” Sophie said.

“Matty is a legend and not precious at all, so it’ll be a fun and unscripted show… I just wish breakfast radio started at 10am.”

ARN’s National Content Director Duncan Campbell explains the new show; “It may be a ratings rest period but we know that listening habits really don’t change over the Summer break. If anything, fans are actually listening for longer periods of time, so having a fantastic show on air is great news for both our audiences and advertisers.

“It’s also the perfect way for us to nurture and further develop talent within the network”.  

Sophie has been popping up on Kyle & Jackie O across the year with the ‘Double Dare’ segments and  Matty is the anchor for Hughesy & Kate on KIIS.  The Summer Fling is on from Dec 7 to January 8.

Also ARN’s Agency Sales in Sydney and Melbourne are giving the chance for one of their agency clients to win their own guest spot on air at The Summer Fling.  All they need to do is upload a short audition video to their social netowrks, showing their best reporting skills and tagging #ARNSummerFling.

Auditions will be judged by ARN CD’s across the country and narrowed down to three finalists in each Sydney and Melbourne. The three state finalists’ entry videos will then be uploaded to vote for the two winners who will appear on air with Matty & Sophie in either Melbourne or Sydney. For more details, head to arn.com.au
