Social Scorecard: Radio’s top social posts this week feat. Hit, KIIS & Nova
This week Radio Today is going with a Halloween theme for Social Scorecard. Our top picks come from the Hit Network, KIIS 106.5 and Nova 96.9.
1. The Hit Network: Facebook – ‘The Bugstaburger’ (SCA)
Food content always works a treat on social media.
While this is a paid promo it still employs a few ‘tricks’ – it’s highly focused on the ingredients and outlines the steps of putting the burger together, it triggers engagement from users reactions, it showcases a new product and most importantly the video triggers a call-to-action.
Some savvy strategy at play, well done.

2. KIIS 106.5’s Kyle & Jackie O: Facebook – ‘Halloween scare prank goes wrong’ (ARN)
Understand that the most popular videos on social media are always on the short side.
This video is an ideal length for a bit of bite-sized fun. Your listeners are more likely to watch the entire video if it’s short, with translates to a more engaged audience.
That and….I doubt anyone will be trying to break into Jackie’s place anytime soon – that swan dive he took made him look pretty gangster!

3. Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa: Facebook – ‘Halloween stitch up’ (NE)
These two are really starting to pump out pranks and I think they are getting better and better.
This has the attributes of what you want a viral video to contain.
It’s a good representation of their brand and their personalities, it uses emotion and is relevant.
