Smoothfm adds James Blunt to weekend lineup

Staff Writer

Singer-songwriter James Blunt will host his own show on smoothfm starting Sunday 28 May.

Blunt joins a stacked lineup of smoothfm guest hosts including Dolly Parton, Barry Gibb, Neil Diamond, Elton John and Olivia Newton-John.

“I’ve had a great time in this country, Blunt said. “I was really lucky to come here to hang out on X Factor, lived on Bondi…I’ve been looked after phenomenally by the Aussies, toured here so many times, so I’m always incredibly grateful to be back, thanks for having me.”

Blunt’s visit to Australia last month saw the Brit perform new single Don’t Give Me Those Eyes at the Logie Awards. The track rocketed into the top five in Australia following the performance.

His weekend show can be heard at 4pm on smoothfm 95.3 Sydney, smoothfm 91.5 Melbourne and on smoothfm DAB+.
