Nova 93.7’s direct team leader, Simon Mikulich, has left the Perth radio station after over 12 years.

Mikulich joined Nova in Perth in 2009 from Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) as an agency client executive. He then rose through the ranks to acting agency sales manager, key client manager, and then direct team leader in March last year.

In 2017, he won the Australian Commercial Radio Award (ACRA) for Best Agency Salesperson.

Mikulich announced his departure on LinkedIn, revealing it was time to say farewell.

“What a ride,” he added. “Thank you to the staff and my incredible clients – I’ll be watching you grow in the years ahead.”

Mikulich has taken up a role as communications manager at Power Ledger, a company which provides the operating system to track and trade energy and environmental commodities.

Mikulich leaves Nova after over 12 years

In his place at Nova will be Kristy Mansfield.

Mansfield was previously the agency sales manager at SCA. Since March of this year, however, she’s been general managed of UnLtd, the advertising industry’s social purpose organisation. UnLtd works with advertisers and media brands on various social and fundraising initiatives to help at-risk youth in the community.

Antonell Doyle, Nova 93.7’s commercial director said wished Mikulich well and welcomed Mansfield to the team.

“Simon Mikulich has been a highly respected member of Nova 93.7’s agency and direct commercial teams for 12 years and has been an outstanding leader within our business. We will miss his passion and commitment to the Nova 93.7 team and his clients and wish him all the best for the next stage of his career,” she said.

“Managing a portfolio of key clients and boutique agencies Kristy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience but more importantly culturally is an incredible fit for NOVA Entertainment’s commercial team.”

Mansfield said she is grateful for the opportunity and is looking forward to working closely with the Nova team, clients and partners.

“It’s been an absolute privilege working with UnLtd, I’m really excited to continue to be part of the UnLtd team as a board member. I have always loved working in radio and am excited to have joined the Nova 93.7 Perth team. I am very grateful for the opportunity and look forward to working closely with the team, clients and partners,” she said.
