Sea FM SC reveal new brekky show

It appears to be the day to announce new Breakfast Shows in South East Queensland today (see River 949 story below).

Following Sea FM's removal of the "Brad & Sophie" breakfast show a week ago on the Sunshine Coast (see here), today the station has revealed to staff who it's new Breakfast show will be.

The new show was introduced to staff in the boardroom at Sea FM at lunchtime today.

The show will be a new pairing, consisting of current morning announcer and Assistant Program Director Adam "Bar Rat" Barratt, and Jess Eva.

Eva was formerly with Seven Local News in Cairns and Southern Cross Austereo's Hot FM in Cairns.

Barratt has been with Sea FM Sunshine Coast for 4 years and and has worked in Sydney, Melbourne and London, he was the winner of the Best Music Personality award at the 2010 ACRA's.

The new 'Bar Rat and Jess' Breakfast Show will commence on Monday 8 July, along with a reworked lineup including the move of Hamish & Andy to 3pm, and the return of Fifi Box to the "Fifi and Jules" drive show.

Presumably, it will also coincide with a new Morning Announcer at Sea FM replacing Bar Rat.

Sea FM, along with sister station, Mix FM, was acquired by EON Broadcasting from Southern Cross Austereo in March this year.
