Sea FM in NE Tassie changes to Chilli

Yesterday, Sea FM in Scottsdale, Tasmania re-launched as Chilli 99.7, the second station of the Chilli brand for Grant Broadcasters.

Chilli 90.1 in Launceston is the other one and their programming is now pumping into Scottsdale (the 2 towns are only about an hour apart).

Another change announced from Tassie is the re-location of the 7SD operations from Devonport to Launceston to "further ensure a greater and more localised service to the Scottsdale, St Helens, and North East markets."

The station says the move will allow for more localised campaigns with "greater on air and online opportunities for all."

Chilli and 7SD GM, Colin Taylor said:

“This is a great day for Tasmanian radio with both listeners and clients having a better product to call their own including a soon to be released 2 hour north east dedicated daily magazine program from 10 – 12."
