SCA’s New CFO Appointed

With Wednesday seeing the full results for the group announced to the market., Southern Cross Media Group (ASX: SXL) announced the appointment of Nick McKechnie to the position of Chief Financial Officer to replace Peter Lewis,

Nick's background includes, from 2009 being Chief Financial Officer with ConnectEast, the Melbourne operator of the Eastlink tollway. Nick's skill sets with capital management may well come in handy at SCA.

His role with ConnectEast included securing two equity capital raisings in 2008 and 2009 for a collective $870 million. In 2012 the group refinanced $1.2 billion of debt in the bank market. ConnectEast went on to being acquired for $2.2 billion. 

Prior, Nick worked in the UK with various senior finance roles with a  UK cable TV, telephony and broadband provider, Virgin Media.
