‘Roadtrip Forever’ recognised internationally

Southern Cross Austereo is an international finalist at this year’s Facebook Studio Awards for its ‘Roadtrip Forever‘ campaign.

Created last year for Victoria’s Transport Accident Commission (TAC), the campaign is in the Facebook For Good category; given to work made for charitable causes or not-for-profit organisations.

‘Roadtrip Forever‘ combined traditional storytelling with social media technology to send a powerful message to 18-25 year olds about the potentially life-threatening effects of speeding and distracted driving.

At the 2013 Branded Content and Entertainment Awards late last year, they won 2 silver awards for the campaign. The awards were for Best Integration or Brand Storytelling (fiction) and Best Use of Interactive.

Southern Cross Austereo Director of Digital and Innovation Clive Dickens said: "We’re beyond ecstatic to be have been given the opportunity to have 'Roadtrip Forever' nominated as one of the thirty finalists for this year’s Global Facebook Studio Awards, with months of the teams hard devotion, creative commercial and project work paying off."

Southern Cross Austereo National Integration Director Scott McLaughlin said: "'Roadtrip Forever' from idea to activation was made possible by our very talented SCA team, and in strong partnership with TAC and Mitchell & Partners, who recognised the potential early on, we worked together to deliver a campaign which demonstrated true media innovation."
