NOVA Entertainment is officially welcoming singer, songwriter and broadcaster Ricki-Lee to Nova’s national Drive show.

Ricki-Lee joins Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey on one of Australia’s most successful radio shows, replacing Kate Ritchie.

The show, to be called Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel, has consistently topped the ratings since launching in 2012. The team has been recognised with 11 Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs).

Ricki-Lee says “I love Tim and Joel like the brothers I never had but always wanted, and I have been having so much fun in the studio with them – they are the best in the business! I have so much love for Kate and I’m so happy I’ve been able to help out on the Drive show over the last year. I am pumped to be officially joining the Nova family!”

Since she was discovered on Australian Idol in 2004, Ricki-Lee has become a household name.

Having sold millions of records globally, Ricki-Lee has had almost 100 million streams of her music and is the host of Australian Idol and Australia’s Got Talent.

Tim & Joel remarked “Is there anything this girl can’t do? We’re so stoked that Ricki can fit us in around her current schedule of ‘world domination.’ Music, TV and now radio with us. Her energy gets us all up and about each and every day…fingers crossed we can both keep up!”

Peter Charlton, NOVA Entertainment CEO, spoke of the chemistry between Tim, Joel and Ricki-Lee: “We are delighted to formally welcome Ricki-Lee to the Drive team. She’s a great talent and has endeared herself to listeners during her time on Drive. The chemistry between the three of them and the fun they have in the studio is plain to hear and we have no doubt the next incarnation of Australia’s number one drive show will continue to delight listeners around the country.”

Kate Ritchie says “I’ve had an incredible eight years as part of Nova’s Drive team, and I wish Ricki-Lee all the luck in the world. I’m thrilled to be taking on an exciting new challenge and I can’t wait to share what I’m doing next.”

Peter Charlton says “Nova’s Drive show has constantly reinvented itself, hosted by some of the best broadcasters in the business, something that has kept it at number one in its time slot for so long. Kate Ritchie has played a huge role in this success and remains an important part of the Nova family. We want to thank Kate for all she’s done for the show and the Nova Network. We’re looking forward to sharing her next exciting project.”

Tim Blackwell has been a part of Nova’s Drive show since the show launched in September 2012, with Joel Creasey joining the team in August 2020.

I think Nova should save some money and get rid of Tim and Joel because Ricki would be great hosting this on her own

If they want to rate better, they should play more music because the constant giggling just gets annoying

Got rid of wrong one, Kates ok but Joel can be annoying. There’s no standout show on drive anymore.

I’m really disappointed with Joel. He is not funny at all. Recently he sound like he is already tired with the show…
