This morning on Melbourne’s Nova 100, Jase & Lauren announced that their $250,000 game of Hide & Seek will begin tomorrow, Friday 14 June, at 6:00am AEST.
The rules are simple: Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips will hide somewhere in Melbourne, waiting for somebody to find them, knock on their door and say “Jase and Lauren, come out, come out, wherever you are!”
The quicker listeners crack the code and track down the brekky hosts, the more cash the winner takes home.
This is the largest sum of money Jase and Lauren have ever had on offer over their radio partnership, with the possibility of taking home up to a quarter of a million dollars when the clock starts ticking tomorrow.
“It’s finally time to start the clock and begin our favourite game, come and find us Melbourne!” said Lauren.
Jase added “We’re in our secret location and can’t wait to start giving you clues – all I’ll say is expect the unexpected. We could even be hiding in your street. See you soon!”
Be warned: according to the terms and conditions, the prize money goes down $1 for every SECOND they’re not found. So it’s a bit dishonest to call it the ‘$250,000 game of Hide & Seek’ when no one can actually win that amount.
@MW
I just did an online conversion of 250,000 seconds to days and if the total prize goes down by $1 for every second they’re not found, then the competition would theoretically only last 2.89 days. Or is it every second they’re on air? As young people like me say nowadays, ” the math ain’t mathin’ “
If it takes any longer than 2.89 days to find them, the prize money will be NIL.
100% agree MW. Every hour they are not found, the prizemoney goes down $3,600 or $86,400 a day. Of course they dont tell you that on air. At least with the $200,000 secret sound with Kyle and Jacki O on KIIS, no matter when you guess the sound its still $200,000 won
The competition only runs from 6am to 6pm, so it will last closer to six days.
Lots of negative comments, I wonder if they’ll come back and have anything to say now that someone has won $84,000?
@Justin, we know the ARN fanbois have decided that J&L are now public enemy in Melbourne.
$84,000 is more than they have gave when they did it on ARN. But I guess they needed their money for other people.
