RCS’s Chris Bean leaving for the Big Apple

Long-serving and popular Support Manager of RCS Australia, Chris Bean is leaving the software and services company and headed to RCS in New York.

Chris has been promoted to the position of Vice President IT, at the global headquarters of the world’s largest broadcast software company and leaves the Australian office today.

Chris has been with RCS Australia for almost 17 years and after beginning his radio career at 6KA Karratha and 96.5 FM Geraldton.

He joined RCS in 1997 in the role of traffic support for Airwaves. He was appointed to the Support Manager position in 2000 after he had developed an all-round knowledge of RCS products.

Vice President of Asia Pacific and Managing Director of RCS Australia Keith Williams said: “Chris and I have worked together for 13 of his 17 years at RCS and I have absolute admiration for his skills and integrity. Moving to NY has been his goal for some time and I’m glad RCS has provided the opportunity for this exciting career move. We will miss him”

Chris Bean said: “I have enjoyed working with just about every radio station in Australia over the years, traveled widely and worked with some highly professional people across the Asia Pacific region. I’m passionate about Radio and Software and look forward to continuing this interest at RCS Headquarters in NY.

With Chris’s departure and the recent appointment of Keith Williams to VP Asia Pacific, RCS are looking for a General Manager for the Australian office.
