Radio Today Podcast: Have programmers gone ‘soft’?

Former Editor & Content Director

Ask and you shall receive – the Radio Today Tonight podcast is back, but this time it’s even shorter, so you might actually make it to the end.

In just 20 minutes, the podcast covers Fox FM’s 40th birthday, and the inside secrets former programmers revealed about the station’s history.

Plus, we ask if the pendulum has swung too far away from the “rate or die” culture of days of old, making programmers a bit too soft in 2020.

The podcast also covers which radio stars will be on television next year, and we round out the Radio Today versus Kyle Sandilands battle.

Radio Today Tonight will come to you each Thursday, mixing the biggest news of the week, along with a discussion of all the personalities, politics and pressures involved in the audio industry.

It will be jointly hosted by Radio Today editor Vivienne Kelly and publisher Jake Challenor.
