Radio survey: Triple M is the new #1 in Maryborough

In one of the tightest regional radio surveys of 2017 thus far, 103.5 Triple M Fraser Coast is the new #1 station in the historic Queensland town of Maryborough.
Thanks to a +6.7% jump, Triple M now sits 0.4% ahead of fellow SCA station Hit101.9 at 30.5%, which slumped -4.7% this survey.
Overall, it was a book to forget for Hit as the station saw drops across the board in every age category, the largest being -17.7% among 10-17 year-olds.
Also experiencing a decline in the breakfast slot (-4.5%), Hit’s Mak & Lachy have managed to hold on to the top spot at breakfast.
That means Triple M’s Scott & Andrew settle for second place once again despite the pair rising +4.3% to 26.8%.
At drive, the previous margin of over 20 points between Hit and Triple has narrowed to only 7.2. Hamish & Andy are still #1, but big gains by Triple M have closed the gap.
“A great result for our on-air teams today,” said SCA Fraser Coast GM Neil Bradshaw. “Both are once again #1 in their respective demographics and it’s especially pleasing for Triple M who have seen massive growth in all areas.”
The next regional radio survey will be on the Sunshine Coast (QLD) followed by Gosford (NSW) and Darwin (NT).
