Radio ratings survey 7: Weekly listeners up to 12.4 million
The results of radio ratings survey 7, 2025 have been released.
The survey was conducted by GfK for Commercial Radio Australia between Sunday August 24 – Saturday September 27 and Sunday October 5 to Saturday November 8. These are the last results for this calendar year, survey 8 results will be released in January 2026.
Commercial Radio & Audio (CRA) has welcomed the latest GfK Survey 7, 2025 results, with commercial radio reaching 12.4 million weekly listeners, up 139,000 year-on-year (YOY).

Few thoughts:
K&J figures while remaining strong in Sydney have shown two significant drops in a row. Melbourne is pretty bad.
Interesting increases for KIIS Brisbane. I wonder if there is a bump to the breakfast show since they’re wrapping up. Next year will certainly be interesting! The strong results for Gold all but confirm to me the better decision for that station would be to rebrand as Gold 97.3 in 2026.
4BH really is the little station that could. 4BC, while I’m sure the increase is welcome, are still a basket case. Once again, next year will be interesting.
