Staff Writer

Welcome to Radio Today‘s comprehensive rolling coverage of the third GfK metro radio survey of 2019.

From 9:30am we’ll bring you all the market #1s and GfK ratings cards from 9:30am.

Then, check back throughout the day for the big talking points, headlines, and top takeaways from each metro market; Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

DAB+ Digital ratings will also be available on the site, as well as a game we like to call The Spin.

Later in the week, we dive deeper into each market and chat with content directors from the major networks.

It’s officially a trend, Nova have the best drive show, some of the best brekky shows, and the absolute worst music offering in every single city.

WS drive is in free fall and rating well below station average. Bring back Jason Staveley STAT!

It’s a radio ratings survey. not an AM or FM, DAB+ survey. A No:1 station is No:1 across all the ratings. There is NO differentiation between AM and FM. The terms “AM” and “FM” are so archaic in 2019.

WS seems to be let down by drive.
Another bad book, what’s the problem?

2DAYFM sinks again sad. I feel sorry for the hard working staff at 2DAY and the entire Hit Network.

The Nova, Hit and Mix brekky shows in Adelaide are below average. There are better shows than all three in regional Australia. Bland boring dull. Radelaide deserves better. We used to have better shows here.

Hey David Ready there’s lot of difference between AM and FM. The AM audience is 60+ and dying and they don’t read this blog. Also AM is an antique now like it’s presenters.

I hear more changes coming to 2Day breakfast. How long ago did Kyle and Jackie leave it must be 4 or 5 years ago.
2Day is like the Titanic.

Think SCA regret appointing Bec and Cosi now ? What a disaster.

Hey Dear David. Ho hum. Another ageist comment on this site about AM listeners.
It’s becoming common on this website.
AM and its presenters antiques? The ratings would indicate otherwise. Any FM station would love those numbers.
I’m not even close to the age bracket you mentioned but I don’t see why people have to denigrate it. There are plenty of people over 60 who are not even close to “dying”.
If you think FM is better then you can say why without insulting others.

More insults.
