Radio ad revenue up in all markets

Advertising revenue has increased in all markets during December.

Total revenue reached $53.977m, 1.84% up on the same period in 2012 with Perth recording the greatest rise.

Perth was up 3.71% to $8.003m, while Brisbane rose 3.02% to $8.607m. Sydney grew 2.29% to $15.884m with Melbourne also up slightly, 0.46% to $16.447m. Adelaide grew after 2 down months – up 0.18% to $5.036m.

The figures for the first 6 months of FY14 are up in all markets aside from Adelaide. Melbourne lead the way, up 4.19%. Overall metro radio ad revenue is up 2.82% to $355.687m so far this financial year.

The Deloitte figures report actual revenue received by metropolitan commercial radio stations for the calendar month and include all metropolitan agency and direct revenue.
