Quarters returns to footy calling with SEN’s Hawks Radio

Reporter

Fan favourite Stephen Quartermain is heading back to the commentary box, as SEN launches Hawks Radio for today’s AFL blockbuster between Carlton and Hawthorn at the MCG.

‘Quarters’ will spearhead the parochial and biased radio broadcast, calling his beloved Hawks as they continue their march towards a potential finals appearance.

Quarters will commentate alongside five-time Hawks premiership star Robert DiPierdomenico.

Die-hard Hawks fan and radio host Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann will also be joining them in the commentary box.

Today’s match will cater for footy fans on both sides, with Blues Radio also returning, as well as AFL Nation’s neutral call.

Blues Radio will be spearheaded by Carlton super-fan and radio host Dave Hughes, who will line up alongside Carlton legends Ang Christou and Mark Maclure, alongside SEN commentator Damian Watson.

Quarters says he’s super excited to return to the commentary box.

“It has been a few years since I’ve called a game, but what a way to make my comeback, calling the mighty Hawks home in front of 90,000 at the G.”

“Expect the most biased call in Australian sporting history. We’re coming after you Carlton!”

SEN CEO Craig Hutchison says it’s the perfect time for Quarters to make his return to radio.

“Stephen Quartermain is one of footy’s best callers, and we’re pumped to have him back on the airwaves with the debut of SEN’s Hawks Radio.”

All three calls will be available on the SEN App.

Fans at the MCG can listen to the calls with no delay using SEN Stadium through the SEN App.
