92.9 Triple M’s Xav & Michelle have given away $17,300 in the Wheelie Bin of Fortune, thanks to Totally Workwear.

Xav and Michelle remained on air after 8.30am yesterday, after being instructed by Content Director Tim Arnold to “stay on air as long as it takes until we give it away!”

After 4 weeks of incorrect guesses, Toby from Forrestfield in Perth’s eastern suburbs correctly picked the item as a Bubble O Bill inflatable pool toy.

Clues included:  Zero degrees, the YMCA, pop, mostly used outside in summer and ‘who knows?’

Toby said despite collaborating on guesses with his co-worker Peter from Bridgestone Tyre warehouse, they had only landed on the winning guess in the half hour prior to phoning the station.

Toby said it was a previous contestant’s guess of an ‘inflatable donut’ that was the smoking gun.

“I started looking up pool toys online,” Toby said.

“Not many people would have picked up the clue of ‘who knows’ as a ‘nose!’” Xavier Ellis commented.

“That was the one that gave it away!” Toby replied.

When asked how he was going to spend the winning cash, Toby answered “We’ve just moved into a new house and the Mrs wants new furniture!”

This is the third instalment of 92.9 Triple M’s Wheelie Bin of Fortune.

Kylie from Yanchep won $16,000 with her winning guess of a Luke Shuey bobblehead.

Brad from Queens Park also won $16,000 guessing a 2024 Friends wall calendar.
