Perry ‘Pez’ Lazaris onto Hit Network afternoons

Perry ‘Pez’ Lazaris steps into the Hit Network’s regional Afternoon shift which he will host from SCA’s Gold Coast studios. He’ll broadcast across most of Australia from Cairns to Albany and Hobart.

Pez has been with SCA for more than 15 years working already having worked in WA (Port Hedland), Townsville (HOT FM), South Australia (SAFM) before a decade at Hit 106.9 Newcastle as Afternoons announcer, Assistant Content Director and Operations Manager.

He said:

“After spending the last decade achieving some massive personal and professional goals in Newy, I’m excited to be entering the next phase of my radio journey by joining the amazing team on the GC.

A big thankyou to every single person in the Newcastle team who has made the last 10 years some of the best – now bring on sunny Queensland!”

SCA Head of Content – Regional, Blair Woodcock, said:

“We’re so excited to have Pez across the country on the Hit Network. Over the last 15 years, Pez has shown he’s got the creativity and the enthusiasm to nail this role and we can wait to watch him!”

Pez will replace Harry Boucher who has been doing the role as well as being Assistant Producer of Breakfast with Bronte & Lakey and Mornings Announcer on the Gold Coast’s 90.9 Sea FM.

Pez will be on air weekdays between 12-3pm from next Monday May 6 across the regional Hit Network and LiSTNR.
