Parsons SCA departure confirmed

Staff Writer

Southern Cross Austereo has confirmed the news that has been widely known for a few weeks now that Ben Parsons (right) will leave the company.

Parsons, who is currently the Head of Television and General Manager of the now defunct 'EMU' division of SCA, will finish with the company at the end of February after 16 years to launch a new venture.

Parsons is known to be very close to SCA CEO Rhys Holleran, they once were housemates on the Gold Coast, Holleran said today;

"I have worked with Ben throughout his entire journey with our company and I am incredibly proud to have been a part of that.

He has achieved a lot and played a great role in the growth of our business, working across many areas including creating the integrated content strategy for TV, radio and digital. We wish him all the best for the future.”

Ben Parsons said:

"It has been an extraordinary journey and I have been privileged to work with some of the best media executives in the business. SCA is now one of Australia's most diverse media brands and is well set for future growth.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that I have had the opportunity to work with and wish all at SCA the best for the future."
