NSW Premier throws his support behind Wippa’s new ’36 Months’ campaign

Reporter

On Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie yesterday, New South Wales Premier Chris Minns joined the brekky team live in the studio to support and discuss Wippa’s new initiative 36 Months.

It’s is a social change push to amend legislation to raise the minimum age at which Australian teenagers can sign up for social media accounts.

It aims to delay social media citizenship for young people until they reach the age of 16, safeguarding their developmental journey.

The Premier talked about his own experiences as a parent and revealed what the government is implementing to ensure the issue is addressed and that change is on its way.

Does Wippa even realise the majority of Nova’s audience is under 16?

Noticed from the 2nd photo (top right) that Fitzy appears to be on a studio monitor. Is he now living fulltime in Adelaide and doing the show down the line?
