Nova’s Ben, Liam & Belle take the mickey out of Disrupt Radio

Nova 100’s Breakfast team, Ben, Liam & Belle, have set their sights on incoming station Disrupt Radio, initially sounding concerned about more competition in the market before the jokes started flying.

“Bit of a worry, Ben and Belle, becasue there’s a new radio station in town,” Liam said.

“That’s probably the last thing we want right, another station trying to take a little bit of the pie – there’s not enough of the pie to go around as is.”

“I think this station will disrupt things, becasue it’s called Disrupt FM.” 

“Here we go,” said Belle, as Ben followed with, “lame…”

Launching on June 26, Disrupt Radio is a new Melbourne-based station aiming to shake up the current radio landscape by offering an alternative choice for listeners who would like to hear more content about business and self-development. 

Disrupt Radio’s Breakfast show, Enterprise Breakfast, will be hosted by Libbi Gorr, with help from Sir Bob Geldof during the inaugural week – this combo caught Liam Stapleton’s attention, leading to a series of jokes and an impression of what the show might sound like. 

“I was like who’s doing the breakfast show, who are we going to be up against in the mornings, I’d really love to know, it better be pretty disruptive. The name on the top of list certainly wasn’t Irish rock n roll star Sir Bob Geldof of the Boom Town Rats,” Liam said.

Following this, Ben, Liam & Belle proceeded to take a light-hearted look at what listeners might expect from the new station.
