Nova Entertainment CEO Cathy O’Connor Receives High Honour in Sydney

Contributor

Cathy O’Connor was the only radio CEO to be honoured as an industry ‘mover and shaker’ recently by entrepreneur, media buyer, philanthropist and humanitarian, advertising legend Harold Mitchell.

Mitchell was invited to curate a set of portraits of media ‘icons’ at the renowned Sydney restaurant Machiavelli, famous for its media and ad industry patronage and a favourite eating place for politicians. Not surprisingly given its patronage, the restaurant has been known as ‘Sydney’s corridors of power’ for years.

Harold Mitchell said of Cathy “She is an incredible executive, tough and hard but also soft and compassionate when it’s appropriate. We’ve spent a great 20 years working together, she is an amazing Australian business woman. I have great respect for her”

O’Connor’s photograph joined media and television figures like the Packers,  Murdochs, David Leckie, David Gyngell, Tim Worner, Kerry Stokes, Alan Jones, Fairfax’s Greg Hywood, Kim Williams  alongside politicians Abbott, Hockey, Turnbull and Plibersek.
