Nova 969 launch Fitzy & Wippa campaign

Nova 969 has launched a new marketing campaign to drive the second half of the survey year, with a focus on driving awareness of the Fitzy and Wippa Breakfast Show.

Nova's Breakfast show is on a 6.2% share overall, a point behind station average, and ranked in 4th FM place, ahead of 2Day and Smooth, but behind WSFM, KIIS and Triple M.

Group Marketing Director of Nova, Tony Thomas, has spoken to News Limited and commented:

“This campaign is running across billboards, buses, taxis, online, plus we have a big TV promo running with Channel 7’s X Factor starting (last night)"

“Any decline in the ratings, even a small one like this, will motivate the boys even more."

"We are 100 per cent happy with how Fitzy and Wippa are going and, most importantly, so is their audience."

Group Program Director Paul Jackson told Radio Today last week;

"We’re taking a closer look at Fitzy & Wippa and are pleased with their performance but would obviously love it to go up in the next few books."

Nova will be hoping the campaign can improve the Breakfast ratings; the station is presently on it's lowest Breakfast share in a year, and is trending down through 2014.
