Nova 919’s Ben & Liam reunite Jodie & Soda

Over the past couple of days, Nova 919’s Ben & Liam from the Adelaide breakfast show have been selecting their teams for their All Star Showdown, to be held right before the inaugural AFLW Showdown on September 30.

Ben had picked their Nova 919 colleague Jodie Oddy, so this morning, naturally, Liam had to select Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom as his first young pick, reuniting the former Mix 102.3 breakfast duo on air for the first time in two years.

Soda said, “Lovely to see you Jodie, where have you been all my life?”

Jodie replied “I’ve been a big part of it, mate.”

Liam hasn’t kicked a ball before so is relying on Soda, who enjoyed prominence as a footballer in the SANFL with North Adelaide, Glenelg and Sturt before starting his radio career. Liam gave him the first option of where to play on the field.
