Nova 100 confirms Breakfast Show

Nova 100 has confirmed speculation by announcing that their new Breakfast show in 2014 will be "Tommy Little and Meshel Laurie'.

Little has been earmarked for bigger things by Nova for some time through his weekend breakfast show, and by filling in for Hughesy & Kate in survey breaks, whilst Laurie has long held an interest in moving back to Breakfast radio.

Little said: “Meshel Laurie is one of the funniest people in the country and sure I already love making funny TV with her so radio will be exactly the same, except hopefully I will be wearing less makeup.”

Laurie commented; “I have a lot to learn from Tommy Little, mainly about Snapchat, herbal tea and girls. I look forward to the process.”

The two are currently on-air partners on the television show 'This Week Live'.

Mike Cass, dmg Radio’s Assistant Group Program Director said,

“2014 will be an exciting year for breakfast radio in Melbourne and I’m massively excited that we’ve got Tommy & Meshel leading that charge. With one of the nation’s hottest comedians and one of the funniest and most accomplished broadcasters in the business, Nova 100’s breakfast listeners are in good hands.”

There has been no comment on Meshel's replacement on the national drive show 'Meshel, Tim and Marty', or what the move to Breakfast may mean for that show.
