No Fridayz Live in 2026
After an impressive 2025 which saw shows sold-out and a record attendance of 160,000, there will be no Fridayz Live in 2026 with a announcement on social media post saying:
“Some things are worth waiting for.
In recent years, we’ve stepped away from an annual schedule. After our 2025 series raised the bar, the goal was to return only when we could match that experience – and that is going to be in 2027.”

The 2025 line up above.
Some of the highlights for SCA and the Hit Network last year from the event included Guy Sebastian joining Jordin Sparks for a surprise duet of Art Of Love that was orchestrated by The Jimmy & Nath Show with Emma and a 2DayFM’s Pitbull flash mob taking over World Square in Sydney.

Pitbull did his part too, donning a Bunnings hat and, not only did Mariah Carey eat vegemite live on stage, but she also Christmas early and closed her Sydney set with All I Want For Christmas Is You.
This isn’t the first Fridayz Live hiatus. They took one in 2024 too.
In February this year Kiri Martin was promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director. The goal was national leadership across music strategy and event partnerships, working closely with Amanda Lee, Head of Hit Metro Content.
Amanda said at the end of last year:
“We look forward to partnering with Mushroom again in the future to deliver another huge event on the Hit Network.”
And in February:
“HIT is famous for delivering beloved shows, the biggest hits and unforgettable moments for women 25–54, driven by exceptional people. From relatable, locally connected shows that tap into pop culture and music, to major events like Fridayz Live, our content leaders sit at the centre of everything we do. As a network, we’re proud to recognise and promote outstanding talent from within, giving our leaders the opportunity to grow, learn and help shape the next phase of HIT. With fun, relatability and local connection at our core, this marks an exciting chapter as we collaborate to create even more powerful multi-platform moments.”
Lots of guesses for 2027 are already on the table, including Eminem, 50 Cent and an Adelaide gig.
